This week was primarily just making more level content. I’ve sort of settled into pattern pretty easily, which is nice for this sort of continuous pattern. My workflow in Unity has gotten up to speed pretty fast, and I think I’ve made some good content at a reasonable pace.
I also got to design “Florida Man” this week. He seemed like a good choice for Florida’s boss, as he’s always showing up in their headlines (“Florida Man flashes buttocks at IHOP after impersonating a police officer to get free food”). I really wanted to make this feel like being trapped in a tight space with a crazy person, so this fight is set inside of a stolen, upturned ice cream truck that the player might wander into after seeing the headline “Florida Man steals ice cream truck, tries to sell frozen iguanas.”
